By feeding our demons we move the energy in a more conscious way than we can by just expressing our emotions.”

—Lama Tsultrim Allione

Feeding Your Demons is a five step method created by Lama Tsultrim Allione which has benefited thousands worldwide and from every walk of life on five continents. The work transcends spiritual constructs, serving as a meaningful tool for anybody, regardless of religious affiliation or personal philosophy.

What is Feeding Your Demons?

A ‘demon’ refers to the disruptive aspects of our own psyche, such as anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, or disease. Demons are often relegated to the dark recesses of our minds and fester there as we either repress- or ‘fight’ against them. This adversarial relationship with our demons is the very thing that polarizes our psyche. In our attempts to overcome our ‘shadow’, we become more enmeshed with it and our demons gain strength.

This practice is accessible to all and teaches us how to befriend that which scares us the most

Meeting Anger with Compassion: Meditation, Movement in Nature
Autumn Retreat 2026

Ratna Ling Retreat Center, Sonoma Coast CA
October 1-4,2026

This weekend retreat offers a supportive space to explore the nature of anger through meditation, gentle yoga, and subtle energy movement, all grounded in Buddhist philosophy. Anger is considered one of the mind’s poisons—an experience that can cloud perception, harden the heart, and obscure joy, like a veil of dark smoke. Through mindful inquiry and embodied practice, we will explore how meeting anger with understanding rather than resistance allows it to be transformed into wisdom.

The retreat will include :seated meditation, gentle and accessible yoga, and subtle energy practices designed to soften the body, calm the nervous system, and cultivate clarity.

Optional Thursday arrival: intimate gathering of community, walking the grounds, morning meditation and poetry reading.

Offering Dana

Dana is the practice of generosity and the essence of the path to freedom-the first crack of light in our ego protected lives. Moments of generosity open our hearts and minds and alleviates fear that we don't have enough, and allows us to relax our clinging.
