Resilience

Just recently, I spent a few days in the desert and was once again amazed by the strength and resilience of the cacti and succulents. Some stand tall and proud, surviving with minimal water and no external support. In the starkness of the landscape, I am reminded of the beauty in the vastness of the sky and the earth that cradles us all.

Mother Earth, or the Great Mother, is the womb of totality—holding us unconditionally, no matter what happens or what we endure. On this Mother’s Day, I wish you all joy, whether you are a mother or not. We all carry within us the boundless, nurturing qualities of Mother Nature. It’s always a joy to practice and spend quality time together learning, listening and reflecting . Life continues to challenge us in so many ways, no? This workshop will be limited to 10 people but if there is enough interest to attend virtually, I will make that option available. Please email me to secure your space asap.

Working with Resiliency

May 17 | 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Awareness of our own mind in all of its busyness and confusion can be overwhelming and hard to navigate without some structure. Mindfulness means being watchful, rather than watching something. Through meditation, we can access a process of intelligent alertness rather than rigidly and critically observing what happens. We are not avoiding or pushing away our chaotic thoughts because, without our mind and its conflicts, we cannot develop balance and equanimity.

This workshop will include teachings on resiliency, mindfulness of the mind itself, and compassion practices. It will also include a guided session of Feeding Your Demons as taught by Lama Tsultrim Allione.

Come as you are. No experience is necessary.

Cost: $60 | Limited to 10 people
